What Is The College TV Guide?
The College TV Guide is any incoming college student’s one stop shop for all things TV. The site is designed to assist prospective students in deciding how they want to watch TV while they are away from home. College is a scary, strange place without DVR’s and family-provided cable subscriptions, so I made this site to help incoming students navigate this brave new world with ease and style. If that seems a little silly to you, don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. For the rest of you, let’s get down to business.
As I said before, this site aims to make this the easiest and stress-free decision of your collegiate career. The decision comes in two parts…
1. How Will You Watch TV In College?
Gone are the days of living room TV sets and family DVR’s, and for a lot of students, the school isn’t going to pick up where your parents left off. Cable is a very expensive service for a school to provide, and now that most students watch TV using online services like Netflix or Hulu, a lot of universities have decided that the benefit no longer outweighs the cost. Even if your school does provide cable access, it’s highly unlikely they give students a DVR to record their favorite shows on. So unless you watch TV live, that probably isn’t going to work for you either.

2. What Will You Watch TV On?
For a lot of you, the answer to this is “My laptop” or “My phone,” and that’s totally fine.
